Lawendowa kartka - "Follow Your Heart" - Mixed Media Card with Tracey

Hi Studio75 fans! It's Tracey here to share a new project with you. I've created a mixed media card featuring the gorgeous Lavender Morning and Violet Love Paper collections. I've also used lovely chipboard, stamps, trim and a stencil from the store. I adore the beautiful images included in the Lavender Morning papers that I fussy cut to use along with the dimensional flowers to embellish the card. These images along with the moss give a beautiful organic feel to the card.

I like to have a variety of cards ready to use for a variety of occasions. This card could be used for nearly any event from anniversaries to graduations or even a birthday.

Tips and Techniques

 

I painted a Nest Frame and Confetti Hearts with coordinating metallic paint in purple and arranged dimensional flowers including a rosette cut from Organza Rose Trim and natural moss to created a focal cluster. The moss is adhered with Bambino Glue. I also fussy cut flowers and leaves from the Lavender Morning paper set to tuck in around the cluster. Aren't they gorgeous images?

Tekturki pomalowałam metaliczną farbą w odcieniu fioletowym. Dodałam wycięty kwiat z taśmy róże na tiulu i naturlany mech, który przykleiłam na Klej Bambino. Jak zawsze wycięłam kwiaty z paska z dodatkami do kolekcji, czyż nie są one piękne?

The green background paper is cut from the Lavender Morning 01 sheet to 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches and backed with a paper from the Violet Love 6x6 paper set in a lavender print to frame the card. The edges of the green paper are distressed using the edge of my scissors.

The background is stamped with an Agateria Grille Stamp in permanent grey ink, then stenciled with a Studio75 Brick Stencil using limestone paste. I dry brushed lightly with white gesso to highlight the texture, then spattered with teal color mist and white ink. 

A sentiment sticker from my stash is colored it with coordinating ink. I thought this was a perfect sentiment to go with the Scrapiniec chipboard Confetti Hearts cascading across the card.

 

 A little butterfly I molded, painted, and rubbed with gold wax.

Hi Studio75 fans! It's Tracey here to share a sweet card with you featuring the fabulous

Berry Copse paper collection along with beautiful chipboard from the store.

The current Studio75 challenge is to create something for Mother's Day. Our daughter and her husband had their first child, a little boy, two month's ago. Being a mom is such a wonderful experience that I thought this sentiment that says "and so the adventure begins" would be perfect for this card that I created to celebrate her very first Mother's Day.

Tips and Techniques

The papers from the Berry Copse collection have such gorgeous, rich colors and designs as seen in this beautiful green background paper. I added a leaf design stenciled with molding paste and stamped opposite corners with an Agateria grille stamp from the store.

I combined succulents, burlap flowers and dimensional flowers to create a focal cluster. I heat embossed Scrapiniec Confetti Chipboard Hearts and Artistico HDF Cogs with shabby white embossing powder as well as a metal gear from my stash and tucked them in around the edges of the cluster.

For added interest, I tucked in a few Pistachio Stamen and then filled in with some green prills adhered with Bambino Glue. Don't you think this sentiment is just perfect for a first Mother's Day?

I simply adore that each and every Studio75 paper collection includes such gorgeous images to fussy cut. These leaves and berries are found on the 03/04 paper strip. 

The burlap flowers are lightly dry brushed with white gesso for a softer look.

More fussy cutting. You can also see that I tucked in a pearl and several sparkling art pebbles.

And one final close-up of the cog. I recently added a few bee charms to my stash and couldn't resist adding them here. They are silver, but I rubbed gold art wax over them so they would better coordinate with the other elements.

I adore working with this gorgeous collection including such lovely watercolor backgrounds and images! I've added a stenciled design and color mist to the background along with dimensional flowers, lace and beaded texture which I talk about in the tips and techniques section below.

Tips and Techniques

I used dimensional flowers that coordinate with the paper to create this lovely focal cluster and tucked in fussy cut images around the edges. I cut up a piece of a vintage lace doily to tuck around the edges as well.

The background is stenciled with modeling paste in the open areas. I tried not to cover up the gorgeous watercolor floral designs printed on the paper. I spritzed lightly with gold color mist to highlight the raised design. Once dry, I spattered with coral color mist.

I cut this sweet sentiment from the Die Cuts Elements 02 Sheet which includes wonderful sentiments in both English and Polish.

I twisted together a few Pistachio Stamen from the store to tuck into the cluster and used Bambino Glue to adhere beaded texture.

Hello Studio75 fans! It's Tracey back to share a floral mixed media card featuring the gorgeous Cherry Blossom Paper Set. I often use the grungy papers from this collection to create masculine cards and projects, but used one of the sweet, feminine papers for this card.

Tips and Techniques

There are several layers of papers from the Cherry Blossom Set on this sweet card. I've used a background sheet from the 6x6" pack, then cut out the floral print rectangle from the 05 sheet and finally fussy cut the flowers and leaves that I layered with dimensional flowers from the store.
Kartka skład się z kilku warstw papieru , na tło kartki użyłam jednego z arkuszy z małego bloczka 15x15 cm. Wycięłam kwiatuszki  i listki z pasków z dodatkami oraz dodałam przestrzenne kwiaty. 

The background is stenciled with rose gold icing paste to coordinate perfectly with the cherry blossom pink on the papers.
Użyłam maski oraz pasty do szablonów w koordynującym  z kolekcją kolorze. 

This close-up of the cluster shows how beautiful the fussy cut leaves look tucked in amongst the flowers. The darling sentiment button is also part of the Cherry Blossom collection. The black wood circles are added as an accent and rubbed lightly with pink metallic wax.
Jednym z elementów kompozycji jest badzik z kolekcji z napisem w języku angielskim. Dodoałąm też drewniane kółeczka, które podkreśliłam woskiem.

I created a secondary cluster here in the top corner with these gorgeous fussy cut flowers and leaves.
